What makes Cent Capital different from Mint or YNAB?
+Traditional apps are great at showing you what happened (past spending). Cent Capital focuses on why it happened and how to improve it. We act as an active AI Co-Pilot. Instead of just displaying charts, we analyze your data to find specific opportunities—like renegotiating a bill, spotting a hidden subscription, or suggesting a higher-yield savings account.
How does the AI "Co-Pilot" actually work?
+Our AI engine securely scans your transaction history to identify patterns. It looks for recurring payments, analyzes debt interest rates, and compares your spending against optimized benchmarks. It then generates plain-English "Nudges"—actionable advice tailored specifically to your financial situation.
Security & Privacy
Is it safe to link my bank accounts?
+Yes. We prioritize security above all else. We use Plaid, the industry standard for financial data connection (used by Venmo, Chime, and Amex). We have read-only access to your data, meaning we can see transactions to analyze them, but we can never move, touch, or withdraw your money.
How is my data encrypted?
+We utilize bank-grade AES-256 encryption for all data at rest and TLS 1.2+ for data in transit. Your banking credentials (usernames and passwords) are never stored on Cent Capital servers.
Do you sell my data to advertisers?
+No. Unlike many "free" financial apps, our business model is not based on selling your data profile to third-party advertisers. We are funded by user subscriptions. Your privacy is our product, not your data.
Billing & Subscription
Why is there a subscription fee?
+We charge a small monthly fee (approx. $1/month) to align our incentives with yours. Because you pay us, we work for you—not for banks or advertisers. This allows us to maintain an ad-free, unbiased platform.
Is there a free trial?
+Yes! We offer a 14-day risk-free trial for all new users. You can connect your accounts, get your first set of AI insights, and see the value for yourself before paying a cent.
How do I cancel?
+We don't believe in trapping users. You can cancel anytime with two clicks from your Profile Settings page. Your data will be securely deleted upon request.
